At the University of Pittsburgh, I have been a teaching assistant which has enabled me to tutor my peers and gain valuable experience. I will graduate in April 2015, having completed a double major in Neuroscience and History and Philosophy of Science. I will go to a Philadelphia medical school starting next fall, but currently tutor in subjects such as math, English, chemistry, social sciences, and preparation for the ACT, SAT, MCAT, and ASPIRE tests. English is my favorite to tutor but even when I'm not teaching, I am often at the library looking for something good to read. I think my personal interest in reading has made me an even better English teacher as it is such an inspiring subject for me.I am extremely excited about the chance to be a tutor. An enthusiasm about learning is infectious, I believe, and hope it rubs off on my students, or at least helps them master subjects that challenge them. I certainly look forward to this.Aside from studying, tutoring, and reading, I really enjoy hiking trails and spend lots of time seeking out the best ones. I also love to try new foods. Presently I am living in Sewickley, Pennsylvania.
