Experience
I like to tutor because throughout my own academic career, I have always found enjoyment and fulfillment in helping others with course content and preparing for exams. Helping others to get through courses is how some of my closest friendships have been formed. Also, I feel that tutoring is an appropriate and symbolic way of making extra money to pay off student loans. It's another way of using the knowledge in acquired in school to help pay for it. Regarding the relevant courses I have taken to qualify me for tutoring; My mechanical engineering degree along with my MBA have given me a very broad foundation of knowledge, so I feel I can help students in a lot of different areas. However, Math subjects would probably be my strongest due to the intensive quantitative curriculum that that is involved in Engineering school. I have also had to prepare for the SAT, ACT and GMAT, so I have a good background in standardized tests (forgive me for not remembering or saving my scores!)
